The hype North Marais area (NoMa!) is for sure a great neighborhood to discover during your stay in Paris. After visiting the new Musée Picasso and have a walk to the beautiful Place des Vosges, you need to go toward Bastille and have a break in this new lovely tea room named Maison Bastille.
Opened a month ago by Marie, a foodista who decided to realize her dream, this cute gourmet place have been decorated with simple and yet perfect taste: beautiful wallpaper from Rifle, wall lamps from House Doctor, comfy chairs with liberty cushions… we fell home in this cosy atmosphere!
As for the food, Maison Bastille offers a great menu at 9,50 euros with a choice of 3 salads and a piece of cake, everything is home made of course! We had a delicious chocolate cake (fondant au chocolat) and a creamy rice pudding, delicious! And one of Marie’s speciality, the carrot cake, is just one of the best ones in Paris, a must-try!
Marie have also selected kitchen books and utensils as adorable objects and stationery that you can also buy online.
So if you need a break before a shopping session in Merci concept-store, have a piece of cake and a good cup of tea in Maison Bastille, this is the place to get some good energy!Maison Bastille: 34 bis rue Amelot 75011 Paris
