And when I see in this release of Daily Mail(the HUGE UK daily magazine) the 2013 trends in terms of wining, drinking and travelling, I feel optimistic : not only because more people will hear about our services (as Rue Amandine is mentioned as a reference in terms of authentic travel, see section 14!) , but also because I get confirmation that the coming trends are in line with what we like : entertainment and fun together with quality and art de vivre…

I’m also happy that our friend from Chateaubriand are mentioned in the Bistronomy reference.

We still have many guests to greet and please with a nice place to stay, good restaurants to discover, and delicious cocktails to drink :-)

I took her to the beautiful apartment in Montmartre, talked about rue Amandine around a cup of tea and some madeleines (from Alexine, nearby bakeries : the best) and I took her to the places around I like: Le Zèbre for a coffee, cheese in rue Lepic (where they have this delicious goat cheese in shape of an Eiffel Tower), and the cutest “Epicerie Lions”.

And here we are. A couple of weeks later… I receive in my letter box a copy of the Eat And Travel weekly : THE tourist magazine in Hong Kong…

Venus wrote a beautiful article about her experience in Paris, scrapbook like, with her own additionnal comment handwritten. Very nice!

Among which 2 pages on Rue Amandine. Well …I admit that I needed some help to understand it all, but it seems that she liked the experience.

“Amandine and Isabelle, Words can’t describe how grateful we are to both of you, and to Valerie, Eman, Suraya, Charlotte, and everyone else (including baby Jeanne!) for making our trip to Paris magical. Merci! We only wish we could stay longer (and maybe we will one day!). The location and size were perfect, with lots of space for us to spread out when we were actually “at home”. While it was simply furnished, the beds and linens were comfortable, the bathrooms were sizable and lovely, and we were steps away from fantastic shopping, dining, and transportation to everywhere in Paris. You have created a special service. My only suggestion would be to find a way to keep it personal, sincere, and hands-on – this is what distinguishes you from any one else. We could have rented many other apartments, but what made us choose you was your attention to detail, from the warm welcome of coffee and breakfast to the flexibility around our early arrival and late departure. You treated us like family. Amandine works magic – even if this is your 20th visit to Paris, she has an insider’s knowledge that ensures you have a unique, personal, and very up-to-the minute Parisien experience. After only five days in Paris, we started to believe that there isn’t anyone Amandine doesn’t know! A rue Amandine experience is never commercial, never contrived. We felt like we had old friends in Paris who cared about how we spent our days and nights. Together, Isabelle and Amandine created a wonderful assortment of activities for us to sample during our stay. And they left us with inspiration for many more trips to come! Amandine went out of her way to organize soccer tickets for my son and husband, and a sensational boat cruise for my parents’ 50th anniversary. We were the honored guests of Valerie and Manu on a lovely houseboat. We never wanted to leave Valerie’s boat, decorated with exquisite style, and our children fell asleep reading in front of the fire while we sipped champagne on deck. Suraya magically produced a sumptuous feast – and was wonderful company along the way. Valerie was so charming and opened both her personal retreat and her time to us. What a wonderful way to spend a night in Paris! Our only regret is that we did not get to do and see all the things that were included in our Road Book, which just means we must return to Paris again soon to spend time with our new friend Amandine. As a working mother, I must add that Amandine and Isabelle, both mother’s of infants aged 3 and 6 months at the time of our trip, were extraordinary in their professionalism, dedication to our trip, and to our family. We only learned about Amandine’s gorgeous little daughter (and Isabelle’s and Charlotte’s, and Valerie’s!) when someone told us. Hats off to them for creating a personal, unique, and much-needed service and may their business continue to flourish. This is a business created out of love for Paris and a passion for others and it shows. I will urge all my friends to use Rue Amandine!”
