Hurray, the sunny days are back and it is about time to plan this new Spring season in Paris! Here is our selection of 10 activities to do in Paris, on top of the best one: enjoying a drink on a terrace and watching the Parisian life from your chair…
1) Take your short and your boots for an hipster festival in Paris
The ecological music festival We Love Green is taking place in Bois de Boulogne for 2 days, on June 10th and 11th. Solange and Benjamin Clementine will be playing among many other international artists, come and dance in the mud :-) And on June 23th to 25th, you could also set up your tent in Bois de Boulogne to attend the Solidays festival, The Prodigy will be on live this year!
2) A lyric experience in Paris
Less rock’n roll but still memorable, the famous Carmen opera will be playing on until July 16th at Opera Bastille. Put on your tuxedo or your long dress and off you go for a glamorous evening in the city of light…
3) Jazz session in Paris
Every year, the Paris Jazz festival is taking place in the lovely Parc Floral in Bois de Vincennes. A great experience, it is so unique to listen to amazing jazz musicians surrounding by beautiful flowers… You feel so far away from a busy city, so relaxing!
4) Garden exhibition at Grand Palais
After visiting the Parisian parks, it is time to admire the ones created by famous artists such as Picasso, Monet, Matisse, Klimt. An exhibition which wants to demonstrate how the garden is a complete work of art, that stimulates all of the senses… Come and enjoy this fresh experience at Grand Palais until July 24th.
5) Dive with David Hockney
In association with the Tate Britain and the Metropolitan museum, this retrospective will explore the 50 years of the amazing career of the famous English artist, from his youth paintings to his most recent works in Ipad. The largest exhibition dedicated to David Hockney so far.
6) Dior, j’adore!
Musée des arts décoratifs will be presenting from July 5th an exceptional exhibition which will take the place in the entire museum for the first time. More than 400 dresses among the most beautiful creations of the Christian Dior house will be presented. To these major pieces will echo the pictorial, graphic and decorative works that nourished the imagination of Christian Dior various designers.
7) Have a bit to eat with the most famous French chefs
Taste of Paris is a great opportunity to discover the variety of the Parisian culinary scene. From Michelin stars chefs such as Alain Ducasse, Thierry Marx or Frederic Anton, to bistronomic chefs as Gregory Marchand (Frenchie), you could taste, compare, taste again and enjoy a pure gastronomic experience. During the 3 days, you could also attend a masterclass, a cooking class of just do your market of amazing products, bon appétit!
8) Paris sur Seine
Since last September, both banks are pedestrian, and it is like a new giant playground for the Parisian. The right bank is now called “Paris Parc Rives de Seine” and it has been specially prepared for sportives activities, festive moments or simply farniente! A walk along the river is still the best way to admire the city…
And if you would like to experiment a real selling moment, you could rent the cute electric boats located on Bassin de la Villette above Canal Saint Martin, fun and ecological!
9) Dancing all night long
Like every year for the first day of summer, on June 21st, any kind of music is allowed in the city to celebrate Fête de la musique! Musicians are playing are at every street’s corner, from jazz to electro, you should find your match in this amazing offer! A great excuse to invest Paris at night and walk from a concert to another, so fun!
10) A dance show at la Villette
